SARAJEVO, June 26 (Hina) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Kresimir Zubak, met with the international supervisor
for Brcko (north-east Bosnia) Robert Farrand in Sarajevo on
Friday.
The two officials discussed measures undertaken so far in the
process of establishing a multi-national municipal authority,
police force and judiciary.
Farrand said that in the next period he intended to reintegrate
Brcko into its natural surroundings and therefore special
attention would be paid to contacts with representatives of
municipal authorities in Bijeljina (Republika Srpska), Tuzla
(Croat-Muslim Federation) and the eastern Croatian city of Osijek,
said a statement from Zubak's office.
Ferrand positively assessed activities to date by Croat
representatives in Brcko and expressed a wish for a high Croat
turnout at the upcoming elections so that the multi-ethnic
structure of Brcko and the whole Sava River valley region
(Posavina) could be improved.
