ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - The Croatian Society for the Protection and
Promotion of Human rights on Saturday reelected Nikola Muslim as
president, and Jakov Gumzej as secretary-general.
The Society also elected Marko Veselica as honorary president.
Muslim recalled the establishment of the Society in 1989 as the
first non-government association for the protection of human
rights in Croatia.
Thanking for his election, Veselica stressed that Croatia had to be
a democratic, pluralistic and prosperous country which would be
engaged in the protection of the human rights of its citizens.
