USA calls for formation of Bosnian government as soon as possible

MOSTAR, June 7 (Hina) - Thomas Countryman, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the U.S. Administration, held talks with Bozo Ljubic, co-chairman of the House of Representative of Bosnia-Herzegovina's parliament and the president of the Croatian Democratic Union 1990 (HDZ BiH), in Washington on Monday, and on that occasion he said that the United States advocated the formation of the Bosnian government as soon as possible which would include the two HDZ parties in the country, the HDZ 1990 reported on Tuesday.

During the talks in the State Department, Countryman said the United States expected the formation of a broad ruling coalition which would be able to make decisions on all reforms ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the statement by the HDZ 1990 in Mostar, the United States welcomes the participation of the Croat parties -- the HDZ BiH and the HDZ 1990 -- which won a majority vote of the Croat electorate.

Bozo Ljubic, who was on a visit to the United States, attended the annual convention of the National Federation of Croatian Americans (NFCA) in Pittsburgh over the weekend.
