Upon the conclusion of consultations with parliamentary parties, Radmanovic told reporters in Sarajevo that the three candidates were Croats as there was general agreement that the new Bosnian premier should be a representative of the Croat people.
The Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) has nominated its official Borjana Kristo for this position. Kristo is the joint candidate of a coalition led by the HDZ BiH.
A coalition led by the Social Democratic Party (SDP BiH) has nominated Slavo Kukic, a professor at Mostar University, as an nonparty member.
The minor NSRzB Croat party believes that this position can be filled by its president, Mladen Ivankovic Lijanovic.
The three candidates should be vetted by the State Agency for Investigations and Protection (SIPA) and the Central Election Commission by the end of the next week.
After that, the Bosnian presidency will decide on whom it will propose as a premier-designate in a procedure in the state parliament's lower house.
Radmanovic said that all of this could be in vain if parliamentary parties did not reach agreement on the make-up of a governing coalition by the next session of the House of Representatives.
