ZAGREB, May 30 (Hina) - The Constitutional Court has accepted an appeal of the Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS) and gave one more seat to this party in the municipal council of Brestovac (eastern Croatia). The HSS lodged an appeal
against the decision of Pozega-Slavonia County's electoral commission which changed the decision of the Brestovac electoral commission giving gave three seats to the HSS instead of four. The Constitutional Court accepted the calculation of the division of seats made by the municipal electoral commission. Thereby, the Brestovac council will have six (instead of seven) HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) deputies and four HSS deputies instead of three. This calculation was only correct as other ways would lead to the increase in number of seats which is not in compliance with relevant laws.(hina) ms
