There are about 1,000 Croatian retirees living in the area of Zupanja, Croatia, who earned their pensions in neighbouring Bosnia-Herzegovina, i.e. in the area of today's Brcko District and they have been waiting for their pensions for nine months now, Cobankovic said. These retirees received their last pension in Croatia in April 2000, when they were transferred to the care of the Bosnia- Herzegovina Pension Fund in Sarajevo, i.e. the Bosnian Serb pension fund, he said. Cobankovic said he would send a proposal to the Croatian government that the problem of those retirees be resolved through bilateral talks between the two countries and that the Croatian Pension Fund in the meantime take over the care for those retirees. The Croatian delegation and representatives of the district government also discussed cooperation possibilities. (hina) rml
