Damir Bacinovic, head of the strike committee and representative of
the metal workers union, said the situation in the shipyard was
expected to normalise in September. If the first instalment is not
paid by August 12, the workers will resume the strike the next day,
he added.
Viktor Lenac's majority stockholder Giancarlo Zacchello will
secure the entire amount of about a million euros for salaries on
condition that the government provides the already approved funds
for commissioned work.
