ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Wednesday proposed that the parliament ratify in urgent procedure the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Dignity of the Human Being with regard to the Application of
Biology and Medicine of 4 April 1997, as well as the Additional Protocol on the Prohibition of Human Cloning of 12 January 1998 and the additional protocol with regard to the transplantation of human organs and tissue of 24 January 2002.
ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Wednesday
proposed that the parliament ratify in urgent procedure the
Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Dignity of the
Human Being with regard to the Application of Biology and Medicine
of 4 April 1997, as well as the Additional Protocol on the
Prohibition of Human Cloning of 12 January 1998 and the additional
protocol with regard to the transplantation of human organs and
tissue of 24 January 2002. #L#
The government's public relations office said in a statement the
government also proposed the urgent ratification of the Protocol
regarding the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International
Registration of Marks of June 27, 1989.
The ratification of the Protocol will enable international
registration of domestic submitters' marks, which will be possible
also in countries which are not parties to the Madrid Agreement, but
are parties to the Protocol. Under the Protocol, foreign business
subjects will be able to obtain international registration of marks
in Croatia.
The government amended a decree on this year's customs tariffs in
the part pertaining to the import of live slaughter cattle from the
European Union. The change is of technical nature and was made to
avoid misunderstandings during the import and levying of taxes on
live slaughter cattle.
