ZAGREB, Nov 26 (Hina) - The Chairman of the Croatian Parliament's
Home Policy and National Security Committee, Ivan Jarnjak, said on Friday he
had not yet received a report from the National Security Council on an
inspection of the Counterintelligence Agency (POA).Last week the parliamentary committee asked the National Security
Council to carry out an inspection in the POA because it could not establish
whether or not POA agents had violated the human rights of free-lance
journalist Helena Puljiz when they questioned her.
Jarnjak told reporters in the Parliament building that he had not yet
received the report, and that he had learned from Thursday's statement by the
Office of the President of the Republic that the inspection of the POA had been
carried out.
