The aim of the debate, organised by Iskorak and Kontra, organisations representing homosexuals and lesbians, is to incite a debate in society about the best legal solutions for the protection of said groups' human rights.
The guest of the debate was Robert Wintermute, a London Royal College expert in anti-discriminatory legislation and the legal aspects of same-sex partnership.
He said homosexuality was decriminalised in Croatia only in 1977, much later than in numerous developed countries, while discrimination in the workplace became a crime only last year.
