VUKOVAR, Nov 15 (Hina) - The Joint Council of the eastern Croatian
area's predominantly Serb municipalities (ZVO) hails the agreement on the
protection of minority rights which was signed in Belgrade on Monday during the
official visit of Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sander to Serbia and Montenegro,
ZVO president Jovan Ajdukovic said on Monday."This is an important step forward in the normalisation of relations
between the two countries which were in conflict because of a wrong policy. The
signing of the agreement is the best way towards the healing of war wounds and
closing the outstanding issues," Ajdukovic told Hina.
According to him, the signing of the agreement will facilitate the
processes leading towards the final reconciliation and step up answers to some
questions such as those referring to missing people and exchanging information
about mine-infested areas.
