PORTOROZ, May 9 (Hina) - A meeting of the parliament presidents of Adriatic-Ionian member countries, which will focus on the role of parliament in the stabilisation and development of the western Balkans and the problem of illegal
migration, will be held in Slovenia's Portoroz on Monday.
PORTOROZ, May 9 (Hina) - A meeting of the parliament presidents of
Adriatic-Ionian member countries, which will focus on the role of
parliament in the stabilisation and development of the western Balkans
and the problem of illegal migration, will be held in Slovenia's
Portoroz on Monday.#L#
This is the fourth meeting of this kind and apart from Slovene
parliament head Borut Pahor, the meeting will also be attended by the
president of the Italian parliament's House of Representative Pier
Ferdinando Casini, Croatian Parliament President Vladimir Seks, the
head of the Bosnian Parliament's House of Representatives Martin Raguz
abd the head of the House of Peoples Mustafa Pamuk.
The meeting will also be attended by the vice presidents of the
parliaments of Serbia and Montenegro and Greece as well as a
representative of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly and a
representative of the permanent committee of the Baltic Sea
Conference.
The Adriatic-Ionian Initiative was founded in Italy's Ancona four year
ago and it deals with internal affairs, environmental issues,
development, tourism, maritime and other issues of common interest.
