The project has three components with an emphasis on the strengthening
of institutional and administrative capacity of the customs
administration, border police and the strengthening of cooperation
among various border control services.
The main objective is to ensure balance between the border open for
trade and the one intended for the transit of people, as well as
control over illegal migrations, it was said at today's presentation.
Croatia's partner-country is Austria, namely the Austrian twinning
partners consortium. The Agency for European Integration and Economic
Development is at the helm of the project.
