"Croatia has gone a long way in the process of adjustment of its
legislation. This is in a way confirmed in the opinion of the EC which
has recognised Croatia's efforts," Obradovic said, adding that the EC
and Croatia were aware that the next step was the strengthening of
administrative structures for the implementation of the adjusted
legislation.
She recalled that 116 laws had been adjusted to the acquis
communautaire since the beginning of the process in 2000. After the
signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement in 2001, the
adjustment process became irreversible and obligatory.
