The forum will also educate about and lobby for the adoption of a
national geoeconomic strategy which would focus on linking the
economy, foreign affairs and national security as well as monitoring
and exchanging geoeconomic experience with countries in Southeast
Europe.
The forum will promote economic development, the security of social
stability and the geoeconomic policy on the national and international
levels, as well as relations in the region based on the need of
dealing with the effects of global economic development on Croatia and
the region.
The association was initiated by professor Zvonimir Baletic, who was
elected its president, and the first geoeconomy doctor in Croatia,
Jasna Plevnik, elected forum vice president.
