ZAGREB, April 27 (Hina) - A survey conducted by the Prizma research agency earlier this month shows that almost 40 percent of respondents do not know for whom they would vote if presidential elections were held next week. A total of
15 percent believe there is no such candidate or declined to answer and 48 percent named their own candidate.

Among the listed candidates, the incumbent president, Stjepan Mesic,
would be supported by 46 percent while Prime Minister Ivo Sanader
would be supported by 12 percent of respondents.
Jadranka Kosor and Slaven Letica follow with five-percent support
each, Ivica Racan with four, and Vesna Pusic, Anto Djapic and Drazen
Budisa with one-percent support each.
If parliamentary elections were to be held next week, more than
one-fourth of the respondents -- 27 percent -- would vote for the
Croatian Democratic Union. Twelve percent would support the Social
Democratic Party and five percent the Croatian Peasant Party and the
Croatian Party of Rights. According to the survey, the Croatian
People's Party would win four percent of the vote. The Croatian Social
Liberal Party and the Croatian Pensioners' Party would win two percent
of the vote each, while the Istrian Democratic Assembly, the
Democratic Centre, the Liberal Party or some other party would win one
percent of the vote each.
A total of 27 percent of the respondents do not know which party to
vote for and ten percent said they would not vote for any party. Three
percent of the respondents declined to answer.
The survey was conducted by the Computer Assistant Telephone Interview
(CATI) method. A total of 504 people older than 17 from all over
Croatia took part in the survey.
