Bosnia-Herzegovina has only one future - Europe and NATO, Ashdown
said, adding that the Republic of Srpska was an obstacle on that road
and that it could not ask the Dayton peace agreement for protection
unless it fulfilled its commitments towards Bosnia-Herzegovina under
the peace accords.
The fact that the Bosnian Serb authorities have not arrested even one
person accused of war crimes in the last nine years is sufficient to
state that the Bosnian Serb entity is the main obstacle to Bosnia's
future, Ashdown said.
Banja Luka's neighbourhood of Borik was this morning covered with
posters of Radovan Karadzic, the wartime Bosnian Serb leader indicted
by the war crimes tribunal in The Hague, saying "Always With You".
The police have said they are looking for the perpetrators.
