MOSTAR, March 25 (Hina) - The Roman Catholic Bishop of Mostar, Ratko Peric, has turned down an invitation of the international community's High Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Paddy Ashdown, to engage representatives of the
Catholic Church in a committee in charge of carrying out measures for restoration of confidence in Mostar.

Peric, has turned down an invitation of the international community's
High Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Paddy Ashdown, to engage
representatives of the Catholic Church in a committee in charge of
carrying out measures for restoration of confidence in Mostar.#L#
Bishop Peric issued a letter on Thursday saying that solutions for the
new organisation of this southern city, recently imposed by the
Briton, were unfair to local Croats.
"I would like you to interpret our non-participation as our cry for a
fair and democratic way to unite this city and nothing more," the
dignitary wrote in his letter to Ashdown.
