Kosor thanked the Holy See for its support at the time of Croatia's
struggle for independence as well as for its support to Croatia's
present efforts to join the European Union, the Government's Public
Relations Office said in a statement.
Speaking in her capacity as Minister of Family and Veterans' Affairs
and Inter-Generation Solidarity, Kosor said she had established
cooperation with Croatian bishops and had received support from the
Military Ordinariate for the efforts of her ministry to heal the
wounds of war as soon as possible.
Kosor also informed her guest of the pilgrimage of Croatian disabled
veterans to Lourdes this year and her pre-Easter meeting with the
children of Croatian soldiers killed in the 1991-1995 war. She invited
Lozano to attend the meeting with children, which he accepted.
Lozano welcomed programmes and projects of the new government, and
reiterated the support of the Holy See to Croatia in the process of
its integration into the European Union, the statement said.
