After the talks, Zuzul said he and Natsios talked about the future of
the USAID mission in Croatia.
The USAID plans to discontinue its assistance to Croatia by 2006
because it believes the Croatian society and democracy is developed
and that Croatia no longer needs the assistance intended for countries
in transition.
Zuzul said Croatia could be satisfied with its cooperation with the
USAID which had so far invested about US360 million in the country.
Zuzul also held talks with US Senator Rick Santorum on the US support
to Croatia.
The Croatian minister also met representatives of the Association of
the Croat-American Friendship.
