PRISTINA, Feb 1(Hina) - NATO's supreme commander in Europe, U.S. General James Jones, said in Pristina on Sunday the downsizing of the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) would not affect security in Kosovo.

General James Jones, said in Pristina on Sunday the downsizing of the
NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) would not affect security in Kosovo.#L#
Jones discussed the security situation in the southern Serbian
province with KFOR commander General Holger Kammerhoff.
Kammerhoff said the reduction in the number of NATO troops would not
disturb the execution of their tasks, adding that in parallel with the
downsizing the authority of the local U.N. Mission's police and the
Kosovo police would be extended.
