candidates received the required number of votes.#L#
Dragan Marsicanin, the candidate of the Democratic Party of Serbia
(DSS), led by Vojislav Kostunica, won the support of 107 of 248 MPs
who attended the session. Gordana Pop Lazic, a vice-president of the
Serbian Radical Party (SRS), led by war crimes indictee Vojislav
Seselj, won 80 votes.
Deputies of the Democratic Party (DS) of the assassinated Serbian
Premier Zoran Djindjic and of Slobodan Milosevic's Socialist Party of
Serbia (SPS) abstained.
