ZAGREB, Dec 12 (Hina) - The national body coordinating Homeland
War associations said at a news conference on Monday that if the Hague
tribunal's prosecution insisted on "the disgracefully worded indictment against
General Gotovina, which also indicts Croatia", the coordinating body would
start collecting signatures for a petition on a referendum on cooperation with
the Hague tribunal and Croatia's EU entry. The body said it wanted
to inform the government of its position and requested to be received for talks
by Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Tuesday.
It also said that war veterans and their families fully supported all
Croatian generals indicted by the Hague tribunal.
