Sanader said the government wanted to show the public that it intended to conduct the negotiations in a transparent, good and swift fashion.
He stated that no EU member state had achieved an ideal ratio in what it intended when starting entry negotiations.
"That shouldn't discourage us. We wish to achieve the best possible results for Croatia in the negotiations, notably regarding transitional periods. We will inform the Croatian public of all relevant issues," he said.
The foreign minister said the Internet site was intended to explain to Croatian citizens in an understandable and accessible way what the entry negotiations were, what was being negotiated, how the negotiations were being conducted and who were the negotiators.
She announced the web page would become interactive.
