The two officials discussed the recently opened entry negotiations between the European Union and Croatia, the summit of Central European presidents in Zagreb this weekend, which Voronin will attend, and possibilities of further intensifying bilateral relations.
Voronin said he was pleased Croatia-EU relations were developing positively, while Seks said Croatia was willing to relay to Moldova its experience in the EU integration process. He proposed and Voronin endorsed the establishment of contacts between the two countries' relevant parliamentary committees.
Voronin also spoke of the situation in the separatist Moldovan region of Trans-Dniester, saying it represented a threat to regional and international security. Seks said Croatia fully supported the preservation of Moldova's territorial integrity.
Yesterday Voronin met Croatian President Stjepan Mesic.
