2.9 percent in 2004, the head of the Agency for the Protection of Market

eastern city of Slavonski Brod on Thursday. Spevec said that last
year also saw a positive trend in horizontal support (intended for research and
development and small and medium-sized entrepreneurship).
The Ivo Sanader cabinet also discussed measures aimed at the
continuation of the reform in the judiciary.
The measures envisage a cut in the number of courts.
Croatia now has 105 municipal courts and almost the same number of
magistrates' courts as well as 21 county courts, but all of this has not
guaranteed citizens speedy trials, said Justice Minister Vesna Skare Ozbolt.
The reform envisages the merging of magistrates' courts and municipal
courts, the reduction of the number of county courts and some other
measures.
