According to a press release issued by the Croatian ministry, Kirin and Fuentes pointed out the need for police officers to be permanently trained with an aim of building as efficient a security and safety system as possible.
Fuentes announced that the police component of the OSCE Mission to Croatia would conclude its operations next year.
Minister Kirin also today received the Austrian Ambassador to Croatia, Helge Konrad, whom he informed of forthcoming activities in Croatian-Austrian joint projects in the home policy.
Kirin and Konrad discussed plans for a meeting between the Croatian Interior Minister and his Austrian counterpart, Liese Prokop, which is to take place in Austria later this month.
The Croatian minister also received the first Israeli resident ambassador in Zagreb, Shmuel Meirom, whom he acquainted with Croatian police activities aimed at responding to all possible challenges and threats regarding organised crime.
