NEW YORK, Sept 12 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic will
fly to New York on Monday to take part in the United Nations' summit focusing
on the eradication of poverty, security and human rights in the 21st century
and on the reform of the World Organisation. On Wednesday, Mesic
will hold a speech at the 60th General Assembly's special meeting revolving
around the financial development.
On Friday, he is expected to present Croatia's position on global
issues and the UN reform during the plenary session of the Assembly.
On the margins of the summit which lasts until 16 September, the
Croatian head of state will attend a summit of Francophone countries, as
Croatia is an observer of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie
(OIF).
