During his stay in Ukraine, Mesic held talks with top Ukrainian officials. At the talks it was stressed that bilateral relations were good by that economic relations could be advances.
Mesic on Thursday met his Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yushchenko with whom he discussed ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchange views on current international affairs. In order to facilitate cooperation in all areas, the two presidents agreed that it was necessary to create conditions for lifting the visa requirements.
Mesic also held talks with Prime Minister Julija Timoshenko and parliament Speaker Volodimir Litvin. The Croatian President also took part in the Ukrainian-Croatian business forum.
Mesic is scheduled to return to Zagreb later this afternoon.
