"This response from Serbia means that we should abide by the position that everything that happened during the Homeland Defence War on Croatia's soil is within the remit of our country," Bebic said, adding that the Purda case was not only a judicial issue but also a political one.
Asked to comment on the fact that the Purda case triggered off rallies of tens of thousands of war veterans, Bebic said the case was only partly a reason for the protests.
"The situation is complex. All Croatian problems should be solved through the institutions of our country," he told reporters in the parliament.
