In response to statements made at a protest rally in Grubisno Polje on Sunday when some of the speakers insinuated that the ministry had data on Croatians suspected by the Serbian prosecutorial authorities of war crimes, the ministry today said that it had never received documents with a list of Croatian war veterans whom Serbia charged with alleged war crimes.
The ministry said it had never had any access to such documentation and reiterated that it was doing all it could for var veterans Veljko Maric and Tihomir Purda, who are both in custody on suspicion of war crimes, the former in Serbia and the latter in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
