ZAGREB, June 30 (Hina) - Lachen Helfen, an association of Germansoldiers helping children in war and crisis areas, on Thursday donated20,000 kuna worth of orthopaedic aides and gifts to the children ofthe Zagreb Archdiocese Caritas
branch, Caritas said in a pressrelease.

soldiers helping children in war and crisis areas, on Thursday donated 20,000
kuna worth of orthopaedic aides and gifts to the children of the Zagreb
Archdiocese Caritas branch, Caritas said in a press release. The
donation was made at the recommendation of the German military envoy in
Croatia, Colonel Wolfgang K. P. Schultz.
Lachen Helfen (Helping Smiling) was set up in 1995 at the initiative of
German soldiers who were deployed in Croatia. In 1998, the initiative was
taken up by the entire German army and similar actions are being launched
wherever German soldiers are deployed, said the press release.
