BELGRADE, June 29 (Hina) - The parliament of the state union ofSerbia-Montenegro on Wednesday adopted a resolution on associationwith the European Union.
BELGRADE, June 29 (Hina) - The parliament of the state union of Serbia-Montenegro on Wednesday adopted a resolution on association with the European Union.

The document, adopted by a majority of votes, reads that the country's admission to the EU is a strategic goal.

The resolution also emphasises the full consent of all democratic political forces to support the country's efforts to meet EU membership criteria.

The document calls on relevant state bodies to do their best to meet all the necessary conditions for the opening of negotiations on the conclusion of a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA).
