Another goal of the programme is to upgrade the Dutch Foreign Trade Ministry's assistance to the Croatian Economy Ministry in all economic issues.
During the talks, Vukelic underlined the importance of advancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Van Gennip voiced support for the projects Croatia was implementing in order to adapt to European Union standards and its overall efforts on the way to the EU. She said that the "no" Dutch citizens recently said to the European Constitution would not pose a hurdle to the EU development.
Van Gennip was accompanied by some 30 Dutch business people who want to become acquainted with the Croatian market, find business partners and investment opportunities.
Vukelic said Croatian business people might visit the Netherlands, which the Dutch minister supported.
Croatian-Dutch trade in 2004 was US$372.2 million, up 15.6 per cent from 2003. Croatian exports were $76.7 million, up 57.6 per cent, while imports were $295.5 million, up 8.1 per cent from 2003.
