ZAGREB, May 14 (Hina) - The minimum living costs of a four-memberCroatian family in April were 6,159 kuna, down 2.27 per cent fromMarch, with the average salary covering 68.08 per cent of said costs,up 0.96 per cent from March, the
Croatian Independent Trade Unionssaid on Saturday.

Croatian family in April were 6,159 kuna, down 2.27 per cent from March, with
the average salary covering 68.08 per cent of said costs, up 0.96 per cent from
March, the Croatian Independent Trade Unions said on Saturday. The
average net salary in March was 4,193 kuna, the union federation said, adding
that the minimum living costs did not cover expenses for infants, a car,
education, health, a vacation, and sports activities.
The minimum living costs of a retired couple in April amounted to 3,564
kuna. The average pension was 1,829 kuna, covering 51.32 per cent of said
costs, up 2.72 per cent from March.
