The Hungarian-Croatian business forum, which pooled managers from 17 Hungarian and about 30 Croatian companies, was organised by the Hungarian Investment Stimulation Agency and the Hungarian Embassy's trade office in Zagreb.
Suelt, the head of the embassy's trade office, said that from 1993 to 2004 Hungarian investors invested about 930 million dollars in Croatia.
According to figures released by the said office, trade between Croatia and Hungary last year came to 678 million euros, rising by 43.8 percent in comparison to to 2003. Croatia's exports to that neighbouring country totalled 108 million euros (a 15.5-percent rise), with the Hungarian exports to Croatia climbing by 50.7 percent to 570 million euros.
