"After I informed him of the entire chronology of government's efforts to resolve the only remaining issue, minister Staechele expressed full understanding for the credible Croatian policy and the approach to solving the problem. He believes that it is wrong to halt Croatia's EU entry talks and that the country must not be kept hostage of collective responsibility," the parliament speaker told Hina.
Seks, who is on a two-day official visit to Baden Wuerttenberg, said that politicians of that German state have a great influence on the overall German foreign policy and expressed hope that their support would help change Berlin's reserved attitude towards Zagreb.
"I requested of Germany to remove reservations and join Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and other countries which believe that we have no manoeuvring space in cooperation with The Hague and that everything we do, including the action plan, is in fact full cooperation with the Hague tribunal," Seks said.
Later on Monday, Seks held talks with Baden Wuerttenberg deputy economy minister Horst Mehrlaender.
There is a large imbalance in relations between Croatia and Baden Wuerttenberg, to Croatia's detriment, Seks said and added that an agreement was reached aimed at solving this issue.
Croatia's delegation will continue its visit tomorrow.
