The signatories agreed that the HDZ candidate Josipa Rimac would be mayor. Rimac led the joint HDZ and HSLS slate in the May 15 local elections.
Under the coalition agreement, the HDZ will also appoint a deputy mayor and a president of the Town Council and will have two seats in the town government.
The HB will appoint the second deputy mayor, a vice-president of the Town Council and a representative in the town government, while the HSP will have one seat in the town government.
Under the Law on National Minorities, the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS), which won eight seats in the Town Council in the local elections, will appoint a vice-president of the Town Council and a representative in the town government.
The head of the Knin branch of the HDZ and outgoing mayor, Vinko Maric, said after the signing ceremony that the agreement respected the will of the citizens and that it was the best solution for the town of Knin.
