The HDZ will respect the Constitutional Law on National Minorities, but "no one, the SDSS included, will tell (the HDZ) who it will form a coalition with," Seks told Croatian Radio.
Seks said that the HDZ supported the principle of subsidiarity and left to its local branches to decide with which parties they would enter into a coalition.
He also pointed out that there was no coalition between the HDZ and the SDSS at the national level, but only an agreement on support, and that none of the SDSS members is a government minister.
Pupovac had said in an interview with the Banja Luka-based Nezavisne Novine newspaper that the SDSS would break up the coalition with the HDZ at the national level if the HDZ attempted to exclude the SDSS from forming a local government in Knin.
Seks said that there would be no early parliamentary election and that "all the games" being played following the May 15 local elections would not affect the support for the government in crucial situations.
