"The agreement and cooperation within the parliamentary majority will not be abandoned," Sanader told reporters on Tuesday after meeting Pupovac.
Sanader described their meeting as a usual exchange of views on further cooperation and the implementation of the said agreement.
Although it won most of the seats in the Knin Town Council in the May 15 local elections, the SDSS cannot form a local government on its own, and the bloc of parties led by the HDZ does not want to enter into a coalition with it.
Asked what position the HDZ would take in Knin, Sanader said his party would abide by the principle of subsidiarity in Knin just as it did in all other local units, meaning that the party leaves decision making to its local branches.
