There has been no evidence to corroborate such allegations, Moratinos said at a news conference answering questions from reporters in Sarajevo on Wednesday during a one-day visit.
Allegations about preparations of Islamic terrorists in Bosnia-Herzegovina for attacks in Spain were made earlier this month by the director of the Bosnian Serb entity police, Dragomir Andan. His statements elicited a lot of criticism and condemnations in Bosnia-Herzegovina and was labelled as an irresponsible statement.
The Spanish minister told reporters that the case was being investigated and that no evidence had been found to confirm such a statement.
Moratinos held talks with Bosnia's three-man Presidency, Foreign Minister Mladen Ivanic, and the international community's High Representative, Paddy Ashdown.
Moratinos and Bosnian Security Minister Barisa Colak signed an agreement on Spain's financial donation of 600,000 euros to the Bosnian Security and Investigation Agency (SIPA) for the purchase of computer equipment.
"In this way, SIPA will be equipped for the fight against money laundering and international terrorism," Colak said.
The new equipment will enable SIPA staff to monitor all bank transactions made in Bosnia-Herzegovina and react in case of suspicious transactions.
Our priority is to prevent terrorism-funding networks, Moratinos said.
