MOSTAR, April 6 (Hina) - A group of 550 Italian soldiers arrived thisweek in Sarajevo, from where they will be deployed in European Force(EUFOR) units throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina, the spokesman for theEUFOR multinational division in
Sector South-East in Mostar, BrunoCompagnone, said on Wednesday.
MOSTAR, April 6 (Hina) - A group of 550 Italian soldiers arrived
this week in Sarajevo, from where they will be deployed in European Force
(EUFOR) units throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina, the spokesman for the EUFOR
multinational division in Sector South-East in Mostar, Bruno Compagnone, said
on Wednesday. Compagnone said that those were reserve troops which
would undergo training for rapid interventions and as reinforcement to other
units. The troops will help EUFOR maintain a safe environment as well as assist
law enforcement agencies in the country in fighting organised crime.
Compagnone also said that a unit of NATO-led forces from Kosovo would
arrive in Bosnia by the end of this week to undergo training for assistance to
EUFOR in rapid reaction cases.
