MOSTAR, April 1 (Hina) - The Presidency of the Croatian Democratic
Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) called on the international community's
High Representative in the country, Paddy Ashdown, to resign over the harsh
breaching of the European Convention, the Constitution and the law in Bosnia
and the harming of Bosnia's international reputation, party president Barisa
Colak said in Mostar on Thursday evening. Earlier this week Ashdown
relieved Dragan Covic of duties as the Croat member of the state Presidency
over his being indicted by the State Prosecutor's Office department for
corruption, organised and white collar crime.
"The latest decisions of the High Representative caused crisis in the
work of the Bosnia's Presidency and brought into question the functioning of
one of Bosnia's highest constitutional institutions and made it possible for
the crisis to enter other levels of the authority in Bosnia," Colak said after
the session of his party's presidency.
The HDZ BiH also called on party officials in power to continue to
their activities in line with the Constitutions and ingnore those who want to
destabilise the country and its highest institutions.
