So far Croatia has been given benchmarks for seven chapters of the European acquis communautaire, while no benchmarks have been set for eight chapters in accession negotiations with the European Union.
Croatia's state secretary for political issues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Hido Bisevic, met the state secretary at the Finnish Foreign Ministry, Pertti Torstil, in Helsinki today at regular political consultations, the Croatian ministry said in a statement.
Finland has shown a high understanding of and given full support for Croatia's bid to join Euro-Atlantic institutions, and has assessed bilateral relations as excellent, without outstanding issues, with the possibility of intensifying economic cooperation, the statement said.
