ZAGREB, June 19 (Hina) - A group of reporters of Nova TV from
Zagreb on Saturday received a threatening e-mail message signed by the Serbian
Radical organisation "Obraz" (Face), declaring war on Nova TV over a report on
the current political situation in Serbia, officials at the Croatian Ministry
of the Interior said on Monday. Ivana Petrovic, the author of the
report, said that the threatening message read that she had insulted the
Serbian people.
So far police have not established where the message was sent from or
by whom, said Ministry spokesman Zlatko Mehun.
"Obraz" is a far-right organisation and one of its main goals is the
establishment of Orthodox Christianity as a state religion and exercise of
authority exclusively by ethnic Serbs.
In late 2004 the organisation launched an Internet campaign to raise
funds for the runaway indictee of the Hague war crimes tribunal, Radovan
Karadzic.
