The OSCE Mission chief and Mayor Sota also discussed the local economy, the process of return and reconstruction and the situation in the education system.
Sota underlined reconciliation efforts made by the Catholic Church, saying that the Djakovo-Srijem diocese had so far organised in Vukovar several seminars on reconciliation.
After the meeting with the mayor of Vukovar, Ambassador Fuentes opened the new Vukovar office of the OSCE Mission.
The OSCE has very good relations with the Croatian government which supports all of its activities, Fuentes said at the opening ceremony that was also attended by the General Consul of Serbia and Montenegro in Vukovar, Bojana Ristic.
