"Croatia backed up its stated commitment to the global war on terror with concrete contributions," the State Department said in its annual report on terrorism for 2005, released on Friday.
Croatia deployed the sixth rotation of a 50-strong military police contingent to Afghanistan as part of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). It also deployed a team of one diplomat and two civilian police to the German-led Provincial Reconstruction Team in Feyzabad and a four-person team to a combined medical unit, the report said.
Croatia has announced it will triple its presence in the ISAF in 2006 to 150 personnel. The present Military Police Company will be joined by an Army Company.
