Speaking at the commemoration, Dodik said that "crimes should not be forgotten, but one should turn to the future, the building of peace and stability, with an aim to develop and integrate into the European community of peoples".
He announced that this or next year the Republika Srpska authorities would lay a foundation stone at Donja Gradina for a memorial centre, an Orthodox church and a Jewish synagogue.
Also attending the Donja Gradina commemoration were Republika Srpska's President Dragan Cavic and Parliament Speaker Igor Radojicic, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency's member from the Serb entity, Borislav Paravac, Bosnian Foreign Minister Mladen Ivanic, members of the Bosnian Serb entity parliament, Bosnian Serb representatives in joint Bosnian institutions, and the head of the Banja Luka branch of the Office of the High Representative to Bosnia, Graham Day.
