According to prelimiary results, the coalition of the Social Democratic Party, the Croatian People's Party and the Croatian Social Liberal Party (SDP/HNS/HSLS) won 38.17 percent of the votes for Velika Gorica City Council. The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) follows with 34.63 percent and the Democratic Centre (DC) with 10.09 percent of the votes.
Of the 27 seats in the Velika Gorica City Council, the SDP/HNS/HSLS coalition won 13, the HDZ won 11 and the DC three seats.
A total of 24.910 voters or 43.99 percent went to the polls in Velika Gorica on Sunday.
The HDZ/HSLS coalition won in Dubrovnik Neretva County with 32 percent of the votes, winning 15 councilor seats. The independent list of Stipe Gabric Jambo follows with 20 percent of the votes or 10 seats in the County Assembly. The coalition of the SDP and the Croatian Pensioners' Party (HSU) won 16 percent of the votes or 8 seats in the County Assembly. With 12 percent of the votes, the coalition of the HNS and the local SHUS party will have five seats in the assembly and the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) will have three seats with six percent of the votes.
A total of 47,867 voters or 43 percent went to the polls in Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
The SDP won in Pozega-Slavonia County with 42.16 percent of the votes. The party won 22 seats in the County Assembly. The HDZ follows with 22.91 percent or 11 seats, the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) with seven percent or three seats and the independent candidate Antun Lovric, who is supported by Branimir Glavas's HDSSB, won 6.5 percent of the votes. The Croatian Bloc will have two seats in the County Assembly.
Of the 11 seats in the Stara Gradiska Municipal Council, the HDZ won five, the HSS three and the HNS, the HSP and the SDP won one seat each.
Slightly over 50 percent of the voters went to the polls in Stara Gradiska.
