The GfK agency started calculating the household index five years ago. From a group of more than 50 products used for everyday consumption, the agency chose three subgroups to calculate the household index - basic foodstuffs (milk, edible oil, coffee), basic toiletries (detergents, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, cleaning liquids) and nonessential products (instant coffee, juice, water, tea, etc).
